小米14Proに切り替えた後、苦痛の時間は私が想像していたよりも短かったです。

ps: This title is relatively niche.

Speaking of switching from Samsung Fold4 to Xiaomi 14 Pro, although it was due to work, I am still quite satisfied with Xiaomi 14 Pro.

In terms of the mobile system, Xiaomi HyperOS is still full of ads, just like MIUI.

Thanks to Samsung's push mechanism and hardware security measures like KNOX, domestic software doesn't work well on it, and missing messages is a normal occurrence. There are fewer ads compared to Xiaomi, but they still exist. However, Samsung's Life Assistant reminders are always online. Flight and high-speed rail information can be displayed directly on the lock screen. There was a time when I forgot about a travel plan, but thanks to Samsung's Life Assistant reminding me 2 hours in advance, I caught the high-speed rail. From the bottom of my heart, I think One UI is very useful.

In addition, although Samsung Bixby has degraded, it is still very useful. I won't mention functions like automatically turning on WiFi based on location. There's also Bixby Daily, which automatically updates the scene mode based on frequently visited places and routes. It's really great. Similarly, there aren't many adjustments that can be made to the daily tasks in HyperOS.

The overall appearance of the system is very different from One UI. In my opinion, the Pixel system is still the first, followed by One UI, and then iOS.

If it's among domestic phones, OnePlus and Meizu's Flyme used to be my first choice.

Unfortunately, although Flyme is good, Meizu's camera is really bad, and there's also a shortage of resources for playing with the phone.

In the end, Xiaomi is the only choice.

As the major reviews say, Xiaomi 14 is a truly balanced phone in every sense.

In my opinion, the imaging of Xiaomi 14 has finally reached a usable level. As a loyal Samsung user, Samsung has a very high hit rate in terms of taking pictures. Although there are claims online about strong smudging and oversaturated colors, for someone like me who isn't used to post-processing, Samsung's photos can be used as they are, and there's even a bonus when viewing them directly on Samsung's screen. This has kept me in the habit of using Samsung.

However, the local search function is very bad in HyperOS. Even iOS provides local search, but HyperOS's local search is practically non-existent. Although One UI's local search is not particularly good, it still exists, and it kindly prioritizes recent searches. Occasionally, when opening an infrequently used app, you don't have to search through a mess. I suggest adding this feature in a timely manner. One UI's gallery can also accurately search for desired photos and OCR can read text, making it extremely convenient to find a document photo.

In terms of playability, Xiaomi is indeed stronger than Samsung. If you want to root a Samsung device, you first have to face the risk of KNOX tripping, and the secure folder is no longer secure. This basically eliminates the idea of unlocking the bootloader before the warranty expires.

Although there are complaints about unlocking the bootloader on Xiaomi 14, at least it can still be done. Compared to some domestic manufacturers who only sell the right to use the phone and not the ownership, this is a big plus.

Because Xiaomi has a large user base, and it is highly concentrated in the younger generation, there are many post-unlocking play methods. There is no need to worry about not finding a suitable ROM, and there are various optimization tutorials, greatly enriching the ecosystem.
